I am an award-winning educator, researcher and author with more than 25 years’ experience educating at universities, professional organisations, and communities.
I have a passion for helping people see their agency in contributing to a thriving future.
I have experience as a consultant, collaborator, researcher and academic working in the areas of regenerative development, placemaking, biophilia, urban greenery, sustainable development and all areas that look at using human ingenuity to address the messy, complex problems in our cities.
I have degrees in Botany, Engineering, Architecture and a Certificate in Governance, and bring an interdisciplinary approach to all my work.

Reported to the board, managed research and lead the development of the research strategy in the Hunter Valley
DIRECTOR OF PLACE AGENCY University of Melbourne (2017 – 2019)
Organisation I set up in 2017 based on a $940,000 grant from the Myer foundation. Place Agency was a coloration of 7 universities, across 5 states, with 14 practitioner partners and 30+ industry and councils. It has won two awards.
DIRECTOR OF THRIVE RESEARCH HUB University of Melbourne (2016 – 2018)
Organisation I set up in 2015/6 it was a collaboration of 15 academics across the disciplines of ecology, landscape, planning, architecture and construction. The outcome has included over 100 publications, several books, several research grants and an international award-winning app called Plant Life Balance.
